Year 4 Honeysuckle - Miss Tinslay
Year 4 will be following the National Curriculum 2014 for Mathematics. They will be covering the complete range of mathematical activities this term, including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, measurement, statistics and problem solving.
Year 4 will be following the National Curriculum 2014 for English. This term we will be looking at 'Stories with a theme' and focusing on a chosen poet and a collection of their works.

Year 4 will be doing PE on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and will need a full PE kit for both of those although it would be helpful if they had their PE kit with them every day.
Year 4 visit the library on Tuesdays.
Year 4 have been set five written/creative activities plus a family week. This can be complete in any order over the half term. Their book will be given out on a Monday and are to be handed in by the following Monday.
Homework is expected to be handed in on Thursday.
Year 4 will also be set one Mathletics homework activity to complete every week.
If the children find any of their homework difficult to complete at home, they have the option to do it at school, with adult support, during their lunchtime.
Children are expected to read every night and enter this into their reading records. They are also expected to practice their times tables as often as possible.
